Our Vision

Our vision is to be recognised locally and nationally amongst patients and colleagues as a dental practice that provides a consistent and reliable level of care in the field of dental implants, complex restorative, cosmetic, and preventative dentistry.

We want every patient who puts their trust in us to know they have a mouth of healthy teeth and gums. We want to create a dental practice environment that is visually stunning, whilst not compromising on strict hygiene standards.

We want to provide a working environment for staff and clinicians that utilises every team member’s abilities to their maximum capabilities, and encourages an environment of learning, improvement and refinement so that our patients feel looked after by and gain trust in the entire team.

We will utilise the latest high-end diagnostic technology and patient communication tools, both digital and non-digital to eliminate any error in the planning and provision of their care. We want to restore the mouths of all of our patients to optimal form function and aesthetics, built on a foundation of healthy teeth, gums and chewing system. Moreover, we want to know if we are able to provide the highest standard of clinical dentistry from the simple to the complex available in the world today.

Our mission is to connect with our patients in a way that empowers them as individuals to make informed choices on what is best for their long-term oral health. We will do this by spending time listening to their concerns, fears and worries, so as to understand what is most important to them as individuals.

We will consistently act on our passion for learning and sharing with our colleagues from anywhere in the world, to learn how we can improve every aspect of our working lives. This applies to not only the clinical procedures we learn, but also and more importantly to how we can communicate and connect with each and every patient and find out what is best for them as an individual. We feel this is the best path to reducing the stress and anxiety that comes with the dental environment, not only for the patients but also for the dental practice staff.

We plan to constantly reinvest and grow our business so that as many patients and dental colleagues can benefit from any already acquired knowledge or any new knowledge we acquire, as we improve learn and teach. We plan to do all of the above in an environment of fun, acceptance and an attitude of consistent excellence so that we can be proud that we have improved the lives of our patients while having a feeling of fulfilment ourselves.

Ethos

Dorset Dental Clinic is striving to be eco-friendly and remain as local as possible so you can always be sure of who you are dealing with. With a new movement sweeping the rest of the world, dentistry can sometimes be left behind, happy to remain as it was. We think this is a mistake and are working hard to revive dentistry, bringing it bang up to date and finding alternative methods, materials and manufacturers that are ‘earth-friendly’ and not harmful to the environment.

We strongly believe in having a friendly, personal approach in all aspects of work, from our patients and staff to the small planet we live on, we all require individual care and quality.

Over the years, we have seen our fair share of waste pollution in dental practices. For instance, plastic cups for rinsing or drinking from are all disposable and rarely biodegradable; here at Dorset Dental Clinic our avid climate-friendly team has found a solution. Our directional signs on the road, which you may have seen on your travels, are weighted with recycled tractor and car tyres (thank you farmers of Dorset!). We didn’t stop there either, patient feedback on dental anxiety, triggered at times by the noise from our drills, has been solved by using the latest state of the art electric drills.

Collectively we have over 200 years of experience in dentistry, and we are still striving to learn more!
